Parenting Tweens – A Whole New World
Didn’t it feel like yesterday that we were holding our newborn child and right before our eyes, that infant is now 10 going on 19. The middle school years creep up on unsuspecting parents so fast, and with it, a whole new set of parenting challenges begin. There are the one word conversations, mood swings, tears, raging hormones, social media, defiance, dating, need for independence, fitting in, just to name a few. Are parents ever ready to tackle these “in between” years? Our guess is no, and that’s why we are excited to learn that international parenting expert and author Alyson Schafer, will be facilitating a workshop in Toronto on Saturday, March 28th to guide parents as they manage the tween and early adolescent years head-on.
