Fan Expo Canada will once again be descending upon Toronto, bringing with it the best from the world of comics, sci fi, gaming, anime and horror. This pop culture convention attracts not only adults, but many young fans alike. Much of the fun is watching fans dress up as their favourite character.
The main attraction are the celebrity guests it draws, with photo and autograph opps (additional fees) with fan favourites. Here’s a snippet of celebrity guests confirmed:
- Tyler Posey (Scott McCall, Teen Wolf)
- Norman Reedus (Darryl, The Walking Dead)
- Chandler Riggs (Carl, The Walking Dead)
- Lennie James (Morgan, The Walking Dead)
- Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy, Harry Potter)
- Bonnie Wright (Ginny Weasley, Harry Potter)
- Gillian Anderson (Dana Scully, The X-Files)
- Ming-Na Wen (Melinda May, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.)
With Teen Wolf being a huge tween/teen favourite, my daughter is looking forward to seeing Teen Wolf himself, along with the gang from The Walking Dead and Harry Potter.
Besides celebrities, this year’s attractions include a Hogwarts reunion, Star Wars events, Settlers of Catan tournament, Klingon World Summit, EB Gamer Zone, Kids Zone and Family Lounge, not to mention the numerous pop culture exhibitors. The full schedule of events will be available in August.
Fan Expo Canada runs from September 3-6, 2015 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre in Toronto. Single day tickets start at $25 with weekend packages starting at $125. Children ages 6-12 pay only $10 with an adult pass purchase. Children under 5 are free.

About Wendy Morelli
Wendy loves her 2 kids and her iPhone, not necessarily always in that order. She is an app obsessed mom who loves everything tech and is (unfortunately) old enough to remember the brick Motorola cell phone and the Commodore computer. Her love for technology stems back to the 10+ years of working for technology based companies. Wendy's alter ego, "AppHipMom" has been featured in Canadian Family, iVillage, Women in Biz, EverythingMom, BlogHer and Savvy Mom.
