I have a love/hate thing for September. I love that the kids are back in school but I hate the adjustments we all have to go through to get back into the swing of things — making lunches, getting kids to do their homework, morning wake-up, bedtime routines, etc. However rough the Monday through Friday routines can be, the one thing our family looks forward to are the weekends where we can unwind with Netflix and watch a movie (or two).
You know it’s movie time in our house when everyone’s in their jammies with the smell of popcorn in the air. We hunker down in our favourite chair/sofa with our blankets and snacks at arms reach. Now comes the difficult part — agreeing on the feature film. Believe it or not, even with 2 young teens, we can always agree on a Disney film.
For your next family movie night, be sure to check out these Disney films (perfect for tweens) now streaming on Netflix Canada.
If you’re looking to have a more interactive movie night, why not play a game of Netflix Family Night BINGO? Everyone gets a card and each player looks for things or actions that occur during the movie (shopping, crying, magic, etc.). Mark off the appropriate square and the first to get a vertical, horizontal or diagonal line wins! Get the BINGO template here. There’s even a blank card for you to create your own show specific BINGO card.
What is family movie night like at your house?
Disclosure: As a member of Netflix Canada’s Stream Team, I receive special perks as part of my affiliation with Netflix. As always, all opinions are my own.
About Wendy Morelli
