How are you planning to spend Mother’s Day? Do you have any Mother’s Day traditions?
Julie: The kids let me sleep in, bring me breakfast in bed and give me all their Mother’s Day crafts! We love going on a Mother’s Day hike all together.
What are some of your favourite activities to do with your mom?
Posy: I like when she takes me to hockey. We love to chat. I’m really excited for our “Mommy and Me” trip to NYC in June!
Spencer: I love going on a walk with my Mom and our dog, Ozzy. I love going to the cottage with her.
Can you share with us what makes your mom so special?
Posy: She’s cool. All my friends like her. She’s easy going and understands us.
Spencer: My mom is the best mom in the world and she’s cool because she started her own company. My mom has six kids and she can take care of us all, even though it can be hard. One even has autism.
What makes you proud to be their mom?
Julie: My girls are feisty, sporty, positive kids who have a love for life. They are self-confident, kind and leaders. I’m so very proud of them!
If you could give your tweens one piece of advice you wish you knew at their age, what would it be?
Julie: Just continue being true to yourselves. The teen years can get tricky but if you stay being yourselves and continue being positive and enthusiastic young women, well – this world – you’ll OWN it!
